Die erste Ecke nach der Zusammenführung
An einem Liter-Vierzylinder ist der Sammler groß, heiß und nah am Motor, und das Rohr, das ihn verlässt, muss am Schwingenlager vorbei, bevor es irgendetwas anderes tun kann. Diese erste Ecke hat den wenigsten Platz und die meiste Hitze, und fünfundvierzig Grad ist meist die schärfste Wende, die hineingeht.
Hitze in Bogennähe
Direkt hinter einem Sammler ist das Gas am heißesten, und ein Bogen dort strahlt auf alles, was dahinter liegt — einen Federbeinkörper, einen Kabelbaum, einen Kühlwasserschlauch. Prüfen Sie, was innerhalb von fünfzig Millimetern sitzt, bevor die Strecke festgelegt wird, und planen Sie ein Hitzeschutzblech ein, statt den Bedarf nach einem geschmolzenen Stecker zu entdecken.
Die gleitende Verbindung gehört dahinter
Der Abschnitt direkt hinter einem Sammler erlebt den größten Temperaturhub der ganzen Anlage. Gibt es im Auspuff genau eine Steckverbindung, die sich bewegen darf, gehört sie hinter diesen Bogen. Davor gesetzt nimmt sie die Bewegung nicht auf, die sie aufnehmen soll.
Heftfolge an der heißesten Ecke
Vier Punkte heften, die Baugruppe kalt am Motorrad prüfen, dann in gegenüberliegenden Vierteln schweißen. Am ersten Bogen hinter dem Sammler wirkt jede Verformung sich über die gesamte restliche Strecke aus — hier lohnt eine zusätzliche Kontrolle mehr als irgendwo sonst in der Anlage.
Zusatzwerkstoff und Technik
308L für AISI 304, rechtwinkliger Schnitt, enger Spalt, sauberes Metall. Der niedrige Kohlenstoffgehalt von 308L verhindert Chromkarbide an den Korngrenzen — der Unterschied zwischen einer Naht, die hält, und einer, die entlang der Wärmeeinflusszone rostet.
Richtig ausrichten
Ein Bogen hat eine Ebene, und ihn um die Rohrachse zu drehen schwenkt das ferne Ende. An einer Strecke mit einem Sammler am einen und einer festen Aufnahme am anderen Ende ist diese Drehung die einzige verbleibende Einstellung — und sie muss vor dem ersten Heftpunkt stimmen.
