Eine Ecke, die zugleich Verbindung ist
Weil die Bohrung exakt fünfzig misst, nimmt das Ende dieses Bogens ein 50-mm-Rohr direkt auf. An einer Anlage in dieser Größe werden Ecke und Verbindung ein Bauteil — keine separate Hülse, keine Stumpfnaht, ein Ausrichtschritt weniger.

Der Mittellinienradius eines Serienbogens wird davon bestimmt, was das Werkzeug ohne Verformung des Querschnitts formen kann, und er wächst mit dem Durchmesser. Ein 52er Bogen schwenkt bei gleichem Winkel also weiter aus als ein 40er — einzuplanen, wenn die Strecke an einem Federbein oder einem Rastenhalter vorbeimuss.
Wo der Winkel hingehört
Dreißig Grad ist eine Korrektur und keine Ecke. An einer hubraumstarken Maschine mit langer Strecke zum Schalldämpfer ist es meist das letzte Stück: Der Sammler zeigt in eine Richtung, die Aufnahme liegt woanders, und eine flache Neigung bringt beides zusammen.

Geht ein 50-mm-Rohr in diesen Bogen, geben Sie der Verbindung sechzig bis achtzig Millimeter Überlappung. Das gerade Ende eines Bogens ist kurz, der größte Teil dieser Überlappung muss also vom eingeschobenen Rohr kommen.
