Dreißig Grad ist eine Korrektur
Niemand entwirft eine Anlage um einen 30°-Bogen herum. Was er leistet, ist die Behebung des Problems, das auftaucht, sobald die Hauptstrecken geheftet sind und der Schalldämpfer nicht ganz dort landet, wo er sitzen soll.
Ein Paar davon, gegeneinander gesetzt, ergibt einen flachen Versatz, der eine Strecke seitlich verschiebt, ohne ihre Richtung zu ändern — der übliche Weg, einer Federbeinaufnahme oder einem Rahmenrohr auszuweichen, ohne den ganzen Auspuff neu zu zeichnen.
Kleiner Querschnitt, dickere Wand
Bei achtundzwanzig Millimetern würde ein Millimeter Wand innen am Radius zusammenfallen. Anderthalb übersteht es — deshalb trägt dieser Durchmesser die schwerere Wand durch das gesamte Rohr- und Bogenprogramm.
Der Preis dafür ist Gewicht, und in dieser Größe ist das Gewicht belanglos.
Was 28 mm nutzt
Ausgleichsrohre zwischen Krümmern, Verbindungsstücke an 125ern und kleinen Einzylindern und die kurzen Übergänge, die eine Einzelanfertigung rund um den Hauptgasweg braucht. Über 250 cm³ ist das eher Installation als Auspuff.
Dorn statt Quetschen
Eine Dornbiegemaschine stützt das Rohr beim Umformen von innen, der Querschnitt bleibt rund und die Bohrung konstant. Eine Quetschbiegemaschine tut das nicht: Das Rohr flacht am Radius ab, und die Durchflussfläche sinkt genau dort, wo das Gas ohnehin die Richtung wechseln muss.
Jeder Bogen von Spark ist dorngeformt. Das ist der Unterschied zwischen einem gekauften Bogen und einem, der in einer Garage unter der Presse entstanden ist.
Kürzen
Ein 30°-Bogen lässt sich auf fünfzehn oder zwanzig Grad zurückschneiden, und das ist üblich. Schneiden Sie durch die Krümmung und nicht durch das gerade Ende — dann behält auch das Abfallstück ein brauchbares gerades Ende.
Wo er gehalten wird
Auch in dieser Größe ist ein Bogen die Stelle, an der eine Anlage federt und irgendwann reißt: Die Naht am geraden Ende ist eine Kerbwirkung. Setzen Sie eine Aufnahme in Handbreite an jeden lasttragenden Bogen, und lagern Sie mindestens eine Aufnahme der Anlage in Gummi.
