Die richtige Zähnezahl wählen
Der Ritzelwechsel ist einer der kosteneffizientesten Wege, den gesamten Charakter des R1/M-Antriebs neu zu gestalten. Die gewählte Zähnezahl verschiebt die Übersetzung in entgegengesetzte Richtungen, und der Effekt auf das Fahrverhalten ist sofort spürbar.
Ein kleineres Ritzel — 14 oder 15 Zähne — verkürzt die Gesamtübersetzung. Die Drehzahl steigt bei gegebenem Tempo schneller, was sich in stärkerer, direkterer Beschleunigung aus langsamen und mittleren Kurven niederschlägt. Das ist die bevorzugte Wahl für enge, technische Strecken oder überall dort, wo sich das Bike drängender und spritziger anfühlen soll.
Ein größeres Ritzel — 16 oder 17 Zähne — verlängert die Übersetzung. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit steigt, der Motor liegt bei Autobahntempo niedriger im Drehzahlband, und das Bike bewältigt lange Geraden mit weniger mechanischem Aufwand. Fahrer, die viel Zeit auf schnellen, fließenden Strecken oder offenen Straßen verbringen, werden das ruhigere, satter liegende Gefühl über längere Distanzen zu schätzen wissen.
