Jede Komponente — von der hydrogeformten Carbon-Endkappe bis zum TIG-geschweißten Titan-Sammler mit segmentierten Biegungen — spiegelt ein kompromissloses Bekenntnis zu Materialqualität wider, das diesen Schalldämpfer von jedem Serien-Nachgedanken abhebt.

Verarbeitungsqualität und Materialien
SC-Projects Italienische Handwerker kombinieren vom Rennsport abgeleitete Fertigungstechniken mit Materialien, die in erster Linie nach ihren mechanischen Eigenschaften und erst in zweiter Linie nach ihrer Optik ausgewählt werden — auch wenn das Ergebnis zufällig beeindruckend aussieht. Der Titan-Sammler verfügt über geschweißte, segmentierte Biegungen, die den Abgasstrom optimieren, ohne die Verwirbelungen, die reine Dornbiegungen mit sich bringen. Die CNC-gefrästen Titan-Buchsen werden mit engen Toleranzen gefertigt, sodass die Passform an der CBR 1000 RR-R SC82 exakt ist, ohne dass Unterlegscheiben oder Anpassungen erforderlich sind.
Die Carbon-Endkappe wird im Hydroforming-Verfahren hergestellt, ein Prozess, der eine gleichmäßige Wandstärke und eine glatte Innenoberfläche liefert — beides entscheidend für ein vorhersehbares akustisches Verhalten. Die komplette Schalldämpfer-Einheit bringt nur 2,3 kg auf die Waage — eine Ersparnis von 0,8 kg gegenüber dem Serienbauteil mit 3,1 kg — und verbessert damit direkt das Leistungsgewicht sowie die Agilität des Handlings.
Klang
Der SC1-R erzeugt einen tiefen, zielgerichteten Auspuffsound, der über die interne Dämpfungsgeometrie von SC-Project abgestimmt ist. Mit montiertem dB-Killer liegt der gemessene Pegel bei 101 dB bei 5.500 U/min — kraftvoll und charaktervoll. Entfernen Sie den dB-Killer, öffnet sich der Schalldämpfer auf 105 dB bei 5.500 U/min und liefert den ungefilterten MotoGP-Sound, den der Motor der Fireblade auf der Rennstrecke verdient.
Dieser Schalldämpfer ist für den Renneinsatz entwickelt und nicht straßenzugelassen. Er ist ausschließlich für den Wettbewerb auf geschlossenen Rennstrecken bestimmt.
