Durch die deutliche Erweiterung des Original-Schutzblechs schirmt sie Motor, Kühler und untere Verkleidung vor dem ständigen Beschuss mit Steinen, Wasser und Straßenschmutz ab, der vom Vorderrad aufgewirbelt wird.

Leistung auf der Straße und anspruchsvollen Routen
Die DL1050XT V-strom ist eine Maschine, die für schnelles Vorankommen gebaut ist, und bei höherem Tempo schleudert das Vorderrad Schmutz und Spritzwasser mit deutlich mehr Kraft als bei gemächlicher Fahrt. Das serienmäßige Schutzblech wurde nach minimalen Fertigungstoleranzen ausgelegt und lässt Kühler, untere Motorgehäuse und Gabelbeine dem ständigen Steinschlag und der Nässe schutzlos ausgesetzt. Diese Schutzblechverlängerung von Puig schließt diese Lücke wirksam.
