Design und Verarbeitung
Puig hat sich seinen Ruf mit Verlängerungen erarbeitet, die aussehen, als gehörten sie von Werk aus zum Motorrad, statt wie nachträglich angeschraubte Zusatzteile. Die matte, schwarze ABS-Formteil folgt eng den Linien des Serienkotflügels, sodass die zusätzliche Kotflügelverlängerung als integraler Bestandteil der Silhouette der Sportster wirkt und nicht als sichtbares Anbauteil. Es ist ein dezentes Upgrade, das das klassische Superlow-Profil intakt lässt, während es im Verborgenen mehr Arbeit leistet.
Schutz, wo er zählt
Wer mit der Sportster auf weniger als makellosem Asphalt unterwegs ist, muss damit rechnen, dass das Vorderrad Split, Wasser und kleine Steine aufwirbelt. Diese Verlängerung fungiert gleichzeitig als Spritzschutz und Vorderrad-Schmutzfänger und schirmt Motor und unteren Rahmen vor Straßenschmutz ab, den der serienmäßige Kotflügel allein nicht vollständig abdeckt – so bleiben Lack und Oberflächen langfristig besser erhalten.
