Verarbeitungsqualität und Materialien
OZ hat sich seinen Ruf auf der Rennstrecke erarbeitet, und das Gass RS-A ist der klarste Ausdruck dieses Erbes in einem Serienrad. Der Schmiedeprozess richtet die Kornstruktur des Aluminiums aus und erzeugt so ein Rad, das messbar steifer und stärker ist als ein gleich schweres Gussrad. Das Ergebnis ist eine Felge, die auch unter härtesten Brems- und Kurvenlasten ihre Form behält und dem Fahrer präzise Rückmeldung liefert, statt sie in Verwindung zu absorbieren.
Die eloxierte Oberfläche ist keine nachträgliche kosmetische Ergänzung. Jede Farbe — Glanzschwarz, Techno-Schwarz, Techno-Gold und Titan — wird durch ein elektrochemisches Verfahren aufgebracht, das die Oxidschicht fest mit der Oberfläche des Aluminiums verbindet und so weitaus wirksamer vor Abplatzungen, Verblassen und Korrosion schützt als Lack. Das Rad wirkt so zweckbestimmt, wie es sich fährt.
Leistung auf Straße und Rennstrecke
Die Reduzierung der ungefederten und rotierenden Masse an der Vorderachse wirkt sich überproportional stark auf das Fahrverhalten eines Motorrads aus. Das Gass RS-A senkt den gyroskopischen Widerstand des Vorderrads und erlaubt es der F3, mit weniger Kraftaufwand die Richtung zu wechseln, intuitiver in Schräglage zu gehen und zwischen Richtungswechseln schneller zu reagieren. Ob Sie ein Straßenmotorrad durch einen Gebirgspass lenken oder bei einem Trackday um Rundenzeiten kämpfen — diese Reduzierung der Trägheit ist sofort spürbar.
Das Fünfspeichen-Design ist keine reine Stilfrage. Die Speichengeometrie ist so ausgelegt, dass sie radiale Steifigkeit — zur Abwehr der Kräfte, die die Felge beim Bremsen zu verformen versuchen — mit lateraler Nachgiebigkeit dort verbindet, wo sie Komfort und Reifenaufstandsfläche zugutekommt.
