Die Konstruktion sieht Verschleißteile als tauschbar vor, nicht als verklebt. Die Shimpakete stellt Öhlins nach der Kennlinie des jeweiligen Fahrzeugs zusammen.

Öhlins baut in Upplands Väsby in Schweden, nicht als Lohnfertigung. Die Eloxierung ist Hartschicht, nicht dekorativ — das zählt an einem Bauteil, das Streusalz und Steinschlag abbekommt. Sonderteile bestellen wir gezielt beim Hersteller.
Für die Abstimmung nach dem Einbau nehmen wir uns Zeit. Die Beschriftung trägt Typ und Seriennummer, über die sich die Ausführung zurückverfolgen lässt.
Zubehör wie Umlenkhebel oder Tieferlegung verändert die Passung und muss genannt werden. Werkzeuge und Betriebsstoffe sind auf die Toleranzen von Öhlins abgestimmt.
