Was es ist
Nach Öhlins-Angabe: Durchmesser 36 mm, Länge 40 mm. Die Wandstärke ist so gewählt, dass sich das Rohr unter Druck nicht aufweitet. Der Innendurchmesser ist auf wenige Hundertstel toleriert, weil der Kolben ohne Ölverlust gleiten muss. Wird das Rohr überhitzt, verliert die Honung ihre Struktur und die Dichtung verschleißt schneller.
Original-Öhlins-Teil

Eine korrekt bestückte Überholung stellt das Ansprechverhalten wieder her, das ein müder Dämpfer verloren hat.
