Was es ist
Ein Maß gibt es hier nicht zu prüfen — Nummer und Explosionszeichnung bestimmen die Position. Die Auflagefläche für die Shims muss eben sein, sonst schließt das Paket nicht sauber. Ventile öffnen erst ab einem bestimmten Druck und begrenzen so die Kraftspitzen. Kolben aus unterschiedlichen Baujahren sehen gleich aus und sind es nicht.

Die Einheit ist nur so gut wie ihre kleinste Passung; deshalb lohnt sich das Originalteil auch an unscheinbarer Stelle. Öhlins hält Positionen oft über Modellgenerationen hinweg gleich, tauscht aber ohne Ankündigung Werkstoffe. Passt die Nummer nicht zu Ihrer Einheit, melden wir uns vor dem Versand. Für die Überholung einer kompletten Einheit stellen wir den Teilesatz auf Wunsch zusammen. Wer beim Zerlegen ohnehin offen ist, tauscht die Verschleißpositionen gleich mit — ein zweites Öffnen kostet mehr als das Teil. Verschleiß am Ventilsitz zeigt sich als weiche Dämpfung im ersten Teil des Hubs.
Zuordnung über die Nummer
Ist die Einheit bereits geöffnet, lohnt der Abgleich der Maße unten mit dem Teil in der Hand, bevor 15838-01 bestellt wird. Der Sitz muss dicht schließen, sonst fehlt die Dämpfung im ersten Teil des Hubs. Zug- und Druckstufe haben getrennte Ventile.
Einbau und Abstimmung
Eine Dämpferüberholung ist Werkstattarbeit: Die Einheit muss zerlegt, das Shimpaket in der richtigen Reihenfolge wieder aufgebaut und die Gasfüllung neu gesetzt werden. Wir sind autorisiertes Öhlins-Service-Center und übernehmen das komplett — sprechen Sie uns an.
