Wie Öhlins baut
Kolben und Zylinder werden gepaart montiert, nicht beliebig kombiniert. Die Oberflächen sind so gewählt, dass sie auch nach Jahren im Freien noch dicht abschließen. Die Konstruktion sieht Verschleißteile als tauschbar vor, nicht als verklebt.

Öhlins gibt 21040-24 für 80 N/mm / 160 mm / Ø 51 mm an. Bei Fahrzeugen mit elektronischem Fahrwerk ist die Ausführung nicht austauschbar. Die Nummer ist fahrzeuggebunden; ein baugleiches Modell aus einem anderen Markt kann abweichen.
