Verarbeitung
Die Anodisierung wird auf Schichtdicke geprüft, nicht nur auf Farbe. Was nach außen dichtet, läuft innen auf einer Fläche mit festgelegter Rauheit. Öhlins arbeitet mit Toleranzen, die eine Überholung nach Jahren noch erlauben.
Einbau und Passform
Öhlins gibt 21040-41 für 115 N/mm / 160 mm / Ø 51 mm an. Für Gespanne und Beiwagen gelten eigene Raten und Längen. Die Einbaumaße sind fahrzeugspezifisch; eine Einheit vom Nachbarmodell passt in aller Regel nicht.
Die Federrate ist auf das Fahrzeuggewicht abgestimmt, nicht auf den Hubraum. Jede Baureihe hat eine eigene Serviceunterlage mit Momenten und Füllmengen. Der Einbau erfolgt an den Serienaufnahmen, ohne Bohren oder Schweißen.
Gehäuse werden aus dem Vollmaterial gefräst, nicht gegossen. Die Nummer ist fahrzeuggebunden; ein baugleiches Modell aus einem anderen Markt kann abweichen. Wer stark vom Standardgewicht abweicht, sollte die Rate mit uns abstimmen.
