Wo es sitzt
Ein Maß gibt es hier nicht zu prüfen — Nummer und Explosionszeichnung bestimmen die Position. Kolben aus unterschiedlichen Baujahren sehen gleich aus und sind es nicht. Ein Nadelventil regelt fein, ein Tellerventil grob — beide finden sich in denselben Einheiten. Die Auflagefläche für die Shims muss eben sein, sonst schließt das Paket nicht sauber.

Eine korrekt bestückte Überholung stellt das Ansprechverhalten wieder her, das ein müder Dämpfer verloren hat. Die Ersatzteilliste folgt der Explosionszeichnung; jede Position hat ihre eigene Nummer, auch wenn zwei Teile gleich aussehen. Was nicht am Lager liegt, ordern wir bei Öhlins nach; die Laufzeit nennen wir vor der Bestellung. Wir sind offizieller Öhlins-Vertriebspartner und beziehen die Teile direkt.
Die Kanalquerschnitte sind nach Zug- und Druckstufe getrennt ausgeführt. Auf dem Kolben sitzt das Shimpaket, das den Durchfluss geschwindigkeitsabhängig regelt. Maßgeblich ist die Nummer; Bezeichnungen wiederholen sich bei Öhlins über verschiedene Größen hinweg.
Die richtige Nummer finden
Die Nummer 01005-01 ist eindeutig; die Bezeichnung allein ist es nicht, weil Öhlins ähnliche Wortlaute über mehrere Größen verwendet. Ventile öffnen erst ab einem bestimmten Druck und begrenzen so die Kraftspitzen. Die Anzahl der Bohrungen ist Teil der Abstimmung und unterscheidet sonst gleiche Kolben.
