Ein Maß gibt es hier nicht zu prüfen — Nummer und Explosionszeichnung bestimmen die Position. Schrauben mit Innensechskant reißen aus, wenn das Werkzeug nicht ganz einsitzt. Öhlins fertigt Serviceteile in denselben Toleranzen wie die Erstausrüstung; ein Nachbau trifft die Passung selten. Öhlins liefert solche Positionen einzeln, damit kein ganzer Satz gekauft werden muss. Die Einheit ist nur so gut wie ihre kleinste Passung; deshalb lohnt sich das Originalteil auch an unscheinbarer Stelle.

Die Nummer 04751-03 ist eindeutig; die Bezeichnung allein ist es nicht, weil Öhlins ähnliche Wortlaute über mehrere Größen verwendet. Verlorene Kleinteile halten eine Reparatur länger auf als der eigentliche Schaden. Öhlins verwendet an Dichtstellen Schrauben mit eigenem Dichtring.
