Fertigung und Werkstoffe
Kolben und Zylinder werden gepaart montiert, nicht beliebig kombiniert. Kanäle und Bohrungen werden nach der Bearbeitung gespült, damit kein Span im Öl landet. Die Beschriftung trägt Typ und Seriennummer, über die sich die Ausführung zurückverfolgen lässt.
Einbau und Passform
Die Einbaumaße sind fahrzeugspezifisch; eine Einheit vom Nachbarmodell passt in aller Regel nicht. Öhlins listet die Einheit ausschließlich für die genannten Modelle und Baujahre.
Zu jeder Einheit gehört eine Serviceunterlage mit den Werkseinstellungen. Jede Einheit wird vor der Auslieferung auf dem Prüfstand vermessen. Serviceteile bleiben über Jahre lieferbar, deshalb ist eine Überholung eine echte Option.
Unsere Werkstatt ist autorisiertes Öhlins-Service-Center. Zwischen Rohbearbeitung und Endmaß liegt bei den Laufflächen ein eigener Schleifgang.
Öhlins führt das Teil unter einer eigenen Nummer im Katalog. Prüfstandsläufe gehören zur Serie, nicht nur zur Entwicklung.
