Als Maß nennt Öhlins Innendurchmesser 9 mm, Schnurstärke 4 mm, Werkstoff NBR 70. Ein Dichtkopf fasst Wellendichtring, Staubdichtung und Führung in einer Baugruppe zusammen. Ihre Lippe läuft auf der Welle und verschleißt mit jedem Zentimeter Hub.

Der Werkstoff ist auf die Öltemperatur abgestimmt, die im Betrieb entsteht. Beim Einbau wird der Ring geölt, damit er beim Fügen nicht einreißt. Teile aus dem Servicekatalog tragen dieselben Werkstoffe wie die Erstbestückung, nicht nur dieselben Maße. Die Angaben stammen aus der aktuellen Öhlins-Serviceliste, nicht aus älteren Katalogen. Serienmäßige Positionen halten wir vorrätig; Sonderteile bestellen wir gezielt. Ein überholtes Federbein arbeitet wieder mit der Dämpfung, die im Datenblatt steht — vorausgesetzt, die Teile stimmen.
So passt es sicher
Die Nummer 00338-41 ist eindeutig; die Bezeichnung allein ist es nicht, weil Öhlins ähnliche Wortlaute über mehrere Größen verwendet. Beim Lagern altern Dichtungen; Öhlins gibt deshalb Chargen mit Datum aus.
Einbau und Abstimmung
