Maßlich ist das Teil mit Innendurchmesser 70 mm, Schnurstärke 2 mm, Werkstoff FKM 70 beschrieben. Die Vorspannung der Lippe kommt von einer eingelegten Ringfeder. Die Staubdichtung hält Schmutz ab, dichtet aber nicht gegen Öldruck. Eine gealterte Dichtung wird hart und verliert die Vorspannung an der Lippe. Der Werkstoff ist auf die Öltemperatur abgestimmt, die im Betrieb entsteht. Ein Dämpfer ist kein Verschleißteil im Ganzen, sondern eine Baugruppe aus Teilen, die einzeln getauscht werden können. Die Ersatzteilliste folgt der Explosionszeichnung; jede Position hat ihre eigene Nummer, auch wenn zwei Teile gleich aussehen.
