Funktion
Maßlich ist das Teil mit Innendurchmesser 42 mm, Schnurstärke 2.5 mm, Werkstoff NBR 70 beschrieben. Die Staubdichtung hält Schmutz ab, dichtet aber nicht gegen Öldruck. Ihre Lippe läuft auf der Welle und verschleißt mit jedem Zentimeter Hub. Eine gealterte Dichtung wird hart und verliert die Vorspannung an der Lippe.
Original-Öhlins-Teil
Die Einheit ist nur so gut wie ihre kleinste Passung; deshalb lohnt sich das Originalteil auch an unscheinbarer Stelle. Öhlins ändert Teile im Laufe einer Baureihe; die Nummer, nicht das Baujahr, sagt, was passt. Wer die Einheitsnummer des Federbeins kennt, bekommt von uns die passende Teileliste dazu. Bestellt wird über die Artikelnummer. Die Maße darunter sind die, die Öhlins selbst veröffentlicht.
Der Werkstoff muss zur Öltemperatur passen, sonst härtet der Ring aus. Ein O-Ring wird über Innendurchmesser und Schnurstärke bestimmt, nie über den Außendurchmesser. Die Nut gibt die Verpressung vor; zu wenig dichtet nicht, zu viel zerstört den Ring.
So passt es sicher
Die Maße stehen unten; sie sind der zweite Prüfpunkt neben der Nummer 00338-93. Sie ist das Teil, das bei einer Überholung am häufigsten getauscht wird. Beim Einpressen darf die Dichtung nicht verkanten, sonst ist sie sofort undicht.
