Wo es sitzt
Nach Öhlins-Angabe: Innendurchmesser 32 mm, Schnurstärke 2 mm, Werkstoff NBR 70. Nach dem Einbau wird die Einheit kurz durchgefedert, bevor sie unter Druck gesetzt wird. Undichtigkeit zeigt sich zuerst als Ölfilm auf der Welle, dann als Tropfen.

Die Ersatzteilliste folgt der Explosionszeichnung; jede Position hat ihre eigene Nummer, auch wenn zwei Teile gleich aussehen. Maßgeblich ist die Nummer; Bezeichnungen wiederholen sich bei Öhlins über verschiedene Größen hinweg. Fotos der ausgebauten Position helfen uns, die Nummer zu bestätigen, bevor Sie bestellen.
Die Nummer steht in der Explosionszeichnung der Einheit; danach ist die Bestellung eindeutig. O-Ringe werden über den Innendurchmesser und die Schnurstärke bestimmt, nicht über den Außendurchmesser. Bestellt wird über die Artikelnummer. Die Maße darunter sind die, die Öhlins selbst veröffentlicht. Wer die Einheit selbst zerlegt, sollte die Nummern vor dem Ausbau notieren; hinterher sind sie schwer zu lesen.
Die richtige Nummer finden
Neben der Nummer 00438-78 hilft der Maßvergleich: Wo Öhlins Größen fein staffelt, entscheidet ein Millimeter. An Verstellern sitzen O-Ringe an beweglichen Stellen und verschleißen dort schneller. Der Werkstoff muss zur Öltemperatur passen, sonst härtet der Ring aus.
