Was es ist
Nach Öhlins-Angabe: Innendurchmesser 27.1 mm, Schnurstärke 1.6 mm, Werkstoff NBR 70. Beim Einpressen darf die Dichtung nicht verkanten, sonst ist sie sofort undicht. Ein O-Ring wird über Innendurchmesser und Schnurstärke bestimmt, nie über den Außendurchmesser. An Verstellern sitzen O-Ringe an beweglichen Stellen und verschleißen dort schneller.

Sie können die Nummer auch mit der Rechnung der letzten Wartung abgleichen. Der Wert eines Öhlins-Fahrwerks liegt in seiner Wartbarkeit — Ersatzteile gibt es für Baureihen, die längst aus dem Programm sind.

Nummer 00338-72 und Maß gehören zusammen; weicht eines ab, ist es die falsche Position. Der Werkstoff ist auf die Öltemperatur abgestimmt, die im Betrieb entsteht.
