Öhlins baut in Upplands Väsby in Schweden, nicht als Lohnfertigung. Die Beschriftung trägt Typ und Seriennummer, über die sich die Ausführung zurückverfolgen lässt. Die Werkstoffwahl folgt der Belastung, nicht dem Preis.

Öhlins listet die Einheit ausschließlich für die genannten Modelle und Baujahre. Fragen Sie nach, wenn Ihr Fahrzeug umgebaut ist — dann stimmt die Werksangabe oft nicht mehr.
Toleranzen liegen dort, wo sie wirken: an Kolben, Dichtsitz und Führung. Wo mehrere Nummern für ein Modell existieren, unterscheidet sie die Ausstattungsvariante. Jede Baureihe hat eine eigene Serviceunterlage mit Momenten und Füllmengen.
