Öhlins hält seine Fahrwerke über Einzelteile am Leben; deshalb lässt sich ein fünfzehn Jahre altes Federbein noch überholen statt ersetzen. Ein überholtes Federbein arbeitet wieder mit der Dämpfung, die im Datenblatt steht — vorausgesetzt, die Teile stimmen. Serienmäßige Positionen halten wir vorrätig; Sonderteile bestellen wir gezielt. Für die Überholung einer kompletten Einheit stellen wir den Teilesatz auf Wunsch zusammen.
Öhlins ändert Teile im Laufe einer Baureihe; die Nummer, nicht das Baujahr, sagt, was passt. Das Tauchrohr nimmt die Bremskräfte auf und ist dafür verrippt. Die Ersatzteilliste folgt der Explosionszeichnung; jede Position hat ihre eigene Nummer, auch wenn zwei Teile gleich aussehen. Ein Kolbenkit ändert die Dämpfung, ohne die Gabel zu ersetzen. Maßgeblich ist die Nummer; Bezeichnungen wiederholen sich bei Öhlins über verschiedene Größen hinweg.
