Die Öhlins FGR 300 ist eine kompromisslos für den Rennstreckeneinsatz konstruierte Racing-Gabel. Entstanden aus jahrelanger Wettbewerbsentwicklung, vereint sie eine neu konzipierte Standrohr-Architektur mit leichteren Tauchrohren und einer verfeinerten Dämpfungsabstimmung — und liefert damit ein Maß an Steifigkeit, Kontrolle und Feedback, das sich einer Serien-Straßengabel schlicht nicht entlocken lässt.
Hauptmerkmale
- Neu konzipierte Standrohre bieten im Vergleich zur FGR 200 eine höhere seitliche Torsionssteifigkeit, ohne die Längsnachgiebigkeit zu beeinträchtigen — ein messbarer Fortschritt bei der Fahrwerkspräzision.
- Leichtere Tauchrohre reduzieren die ungefederte und oszillierende Masse und sorgen für ein schärferes Lenkverhalten sowie insgesamt dynamischeres Fahrverhalten.
- Ein X-Ring ersetzt den herkömmlichen O-Ring zur Führung der Top-out-Feder, reduziert den Verschleiß und eliminiert Geräusche für ein durchgehend leises, berechenbares Zugstufenverhalten.
- Eine steifere Top-out-Feder verbessert die Traktion am Hinterrad bei starker Beschleunigung und sorgt für Stabilität in schnell gefahrenen Kurven.
- Neue Rückschlagventil-Federn liefern verbessertes Feedback und ein besseres Ansprechverhalten bei kleinen Unebenheiten auf rauem oder welligem Streckenbelag.

Konstruktion und Materialien
Die FGR 300 wird nach den strengen Maßstäben gefertigt, die Öhlins in seinen Werksprogrammen für World Superbike und MotoGP anlegt. Die Standrohre bestehen aus hochwertiger Aluminiumlegierung, die mit engen Toleranzen bearbeitet und veredelt wird, um biegungsbedingte Ungenauigkeiten am Lenkkopf zu eliminieren. Die Tauchrohre sind präzisionsgeschliffen und hart eloxiert, um über den gesamten Federweg von 130 mm Riefenbildung zu widerstehen. Jede interne Komponente — von den Rückschlagventil-Baugruppen bis zur Top-out-Feder — wird als System und nicht isoliert ausgewählt und abgestimmt. Deshalb reagiert die FGR 300 wie eine einzige stimmige Einheit und nicht wie eine Ansammlung von Einzelteilen.
Leistung auf der Rennstrecke
Die Kombination aus höherer seitlicher Steifigkeit, geringerem Gewicht und einer feinfühligeren Dämpfungsabstimmung wirkt sich direkt auf die Rundenzeit aus. Beim Bremsen widersteht die Gabel dem Eintauchen und Verwinden und hält den vorderen Reifenaufstandspunkt exakt auf der Strecke. Am Kurvenscheitelpunkt lässt die überarbeitete Rückschlagventil-Abstimmung die Gabel Unebenheiten folgen, ohne die Fahrwerkslage zu stören. Am Kurvenausgang hält die steifere Top-out-Feder das Vorderrad länger belastet, unterstützt die Traktion und verhindert die Instabilität, die bei aggressivem Gasaufziehen auftreten kann. Die FGR 300 ist ausschließlich für den Rennsporteinsatz zugelassen — sie ist nicht für die Straßenzulassung oder den Straßenbetrieb vorgesehen.
