Öhlins gibt für diese Position Innendurchmesser 12 mm, Außendurchmesser 30 mm, Stärke 28 mm an. Eine gealterte Dichtung wird hart und verliert die Vorspannung an der Lippe. Öhlins ändert Teile im Laufe einer Baureihe; die Nummer, nicht das Baujahr, sagt, was passt. Der Werkstoff ist auf die Öltemperatur abgestimmt, die im Betrieb entsteht.

Öhlins führt diese Position in der Explosionszeichnung der zugehörigen Einheit unter 00114-03. Zwischen Dichtung und Führung sitzt oft ein Stützring gegen Spaltextrusion. Die Dichtung hält das Öl im System und den Schmutz draußen.
