Der Nexx Y.10 Plain wirkt an der Seite besonders ruhig: Am Visierdrehpunkt sitzt eine glatte schwarze Kappe statt der Chromringe anderer Y.10-Versionen. Dieses Original-Befestigungskit trägt in der Nexx-Preisliste den Zusatz Plain und enthält die Teile, die das Visier an beiden Drehpunkten halten, einschließlich dieser Kappen.

Auf dem Produktfoto liegen zwei vollständige Sätze für links und rechts. Jeder Satz besteht aus vier Teilen:
- einer glatten, runden schwarzen Abdeckkappe
- einem schwarzen Drehring mit Aussparungen für die Kappe
- einer schwarzen Grundplatte mit Rastnasen
- einer Senkkopfschraube
Die Kappe sitzt auf dem Drehring und verdeckt die Schraube, so entsteht die schlichte Seitenansicht des Plain.
So funktioniert die Kappe
Die Y.10-Anleitung widmet der Kunststoffabdeckung eine eigene Seite. Zum Anbringen die Kappe aufsetzen und drehen, bis sie hält; zum Abnehmen in die andere Richtung drehen und abheben. Bevor das Visier herunter kann, muss die Kappe ab, danach wird auf beiden Seiten aufgeschraubt und das Visier abgezogen. Eingebaut wird umgekehrt: Visier einrasten, mit der Markierung nach oben ausrichten, verschrauben und die Kappe wieder aufsetzen.
Typische Gründe für den Tausch
Die kleinen Kappen gehen beim Visierausbau zum Reinigen leicht verloren. Auch eine Kappe, die nicht mehr einrastet, ein gebrochener Drehring oder eine ausgerissene Schraube sind Anlass für ein neues Kit. Danach sitzt das Visier wieder fest und die Helmseite sieht aus wie neu.
Welches Kit passt
Ein Blick auf den Visierdrehpunkt genügt. Glatte schwarze Kappen wie beim Y.10 Plain in Black MT und White bedeuten dieses Kit. Abdeckungen mit Chromringen wie bei Midtown und Sunny brauchen das andere Y.10-Befestigungskit. Beide sind nur für den Nexx Y.10 gelistet.
