Die seit 2020 gebaute Panigale V2 955 ist Ducatis Zweizylinder in der Supersport-Klasse, und in der Kategorie SSP600 läuft das Rennen nach einem engen Zeitplan, in dem ein Radwechsel in der Boxengasse Sekunden statt Minuten dauern darf. Genau für diese Situation hat Melotti Racing die Schnellwechsel-Vorderachse entwickelt: eine Achse mit Schnellgewinde, die ein Mechaniker mit einem Elektrowerkzeug eindreht, statt eine gewöhnliche Mutter-Schraube-Verbindung von Hand zu drehen. Nach den technischen Reglements der FIM für diese Klasse gebaut und bereits von führenden Teams der Supersport-Weltmeisterschaft eingesetzt, passt der Satz KPRAR.DU an die Panigale V2 955 mit ihrer Showa-Gabel.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Die Achse selbst baut Melotti aus hochlegiertem Stahl, mit Schnellgewinde und eigener Räumung versehen, damit sie ein Elektrowerkzeug eindreht, statt dass ein Mechaniker sie von Hand dreht. Mitgeliefert wird ein Schlüssel mit 1/2-Zoll-Aufnahme für genau dieses Werkzeug. Eine Gewindebuchse aus Ergal, oberflächengehärtet gegen Verschleiß, und eine schwarz eloxierte Sicherungsmutter aus Ergal sichern die Baugruppe am Gabelholm, während ein Paar Racing-Radabstandshalter, ebenfalls aus Ergal und gleich behandelt, mit verlängerter Einführrampe und asymmetrischer Haltelippe das Rad in Position führt. Schutzgleiter aus Anticorodal, strömungsgünstig geformt, sitzen locker auf den Achsenden.
Ein Radwechsel gegen die Uhr
Im SSP600-Rennsport wird ein Boxenstopp zum Radwechsel allein danach bewertet, wie viele Sekunden er kostet, und jeder Schritt der Abfolge wird so lange eingeübt, bis die Hände des Mechanikers die Arbeit ohne Nachdenken ausführen. Eine Achse mit Schnellgewinde entfernt den langsamsten Schritt eines gewöhnlichen Wechsels, da das Werkzeug das Gewinde in einer durchgehenden Bewegung eindreht statt mehrerer Umdrehungen mit dem Schraubenschlüssel, während die verlängerte Rampe an den Radabstandshaltern das Rad ohne Rätselraten zwischen den Gabelholmen ausrichtet. Üben lässt sich damit nicht ersetzen, aber ein eingespieltes Team erhält damit das Werkzeug, das seiner Technik entspricht.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Melottis Preisliste führt den KPRAR.DU-Satz für die Panigale V2 955 und für die V4, und unser Eintrag folgt dem für die von 2020 bis 2024 gebaute V2 955. Der Satz ist um die Showa-Gabel entwickelt, die an der Basis-V2 955 und der Standard-V4 verbaut ist; Melottis eigene Hinweise stellen klar, dass er nicht für die V4 S oder V4 R gedacht ist, die stattdessen eine Öhlins-Gabel verwenden – diese Varianten sind daher ausgeschlossen.
Straßenzulassung
Weder Melotti noch wir führen für diesen Satz eine ABE, auch ein deutsches Teilegutachten oder eine EG-Typgenehmigung existiert nicht. Er ist für den Renneinsatz nach FIM-ähnlichem Reglement und andere geschlossene Kurse gebaut; eine damit ausgerüstete V2 955 auf deutschen öffentlichen Straßen zu fahren, ist ohne dokumentierten Eintrag nicht erlaubt, und jede Veranstaltung folgt ihren eigenen technischen Vorschriften.
