Die Leatt Moto RaceCover Vest ist eine Schlechtwetterschicht, durch die man hindurchsieht. Sie besteht aus einem weichen, leichten und durchscheinenden Material, das Leatt als wasserdicht angibt, und wird über Trikot und Protektoren gezogen, sobald sich der Himmel zuzieht. Ihre Ausrüstung darunter bleibt sichtbar, und die Weste selbst stört kaum.
Gedacht ist sie für Motocross-, Enduro- und Trailfahrer, die etwas zwischen gar keinem Regenschutz und einer vollständigen Jacke suchen.

Regenschutz
Leatt bezeichnet die RaceCover als Lösung für schlechtes Wetter, und das Material ist genau darauf ausgelegt: weich, leicht und nach Herstellerangabe wasserdicht. Auch der Frontreißverschluss ist wasserdicht, damit die Hauptöffnung nicht zur Schwachstelle wird. Die Weste schützt den Rumpf, also den Bereich, an dem Nässe und Kälte bei Fahrt am stärksten wirken.
Luftzirkulation
Regenkleidung, die nicht atmet, wird schnell zur Sauna. Damit das nicht passiert, hat Leatt großflächige Belüftungsbereiche in die Seiten der RaceCover eingearbeitet. Luft kommt herein und Wärme kann entweichen, auch wenn Sie auf dem Motorrad hart arbeiten.
Schnitt für Protektoren
Die Schnittführung ist für das Fahren mit und ohne Protektoren gedacht. An einem leichten Tag tragen Sie die Weste direkt über dem Trikot, auf ruppiger Strecke über Brust- und Rückenschutz, ohne dass sie spannt.

Dieses Angebot reicht von S bis 5XL. Leatt hält die Weste leicht, sodass sie sich gut mitnehmen und bei einem Wetterumschwung schnell überziehen lässt.

Der Stoff besteht aus 100 % Polyester mit weichem Griff und durchscheinender Optik. Ausgeliefert wird die Weste in einer plastikfreien Verpackung.
Was Sie wissen sollten
Leatt bezeichnet das Material als wasserdicht; verstehen Sie die RaceCover als leichte Hülle über der Ausrüstung, nicht als Sturmbekleidung. Betrachten Sie die RaceCover daher als leichte Regenhülle und nicht als Ausrüstung für Unwetter. Sie ist ärmellos und ersetzt weder eine wärmende Lage noch Protektoren. Die großen Seitenbelüftungen sorgen für Luft, bei peitschendem Regen kann dort aber auch etwas Wasser hineingelangen.
Farbe
Transparent bedeutet hier durchsichtig mit leicht rauchiger, durchscheinender Wirkung. Ein schwarzes Band mit großem weißem Leatt-Schriftzug verläuft quer über die Brust, ein zweites schwarzes Band mit Leatt-Schrift zieht sich am Saum entlang. Trikotfarben und Sponsorenlogos scheinen durch die Hülle, die Weste verdeckt also den Look Ihrer Ausrüstung nicht. Schlamm auf der Außenseite sieht man sofort, er lässt sich aber auch leicht abspülen.
