Nach einer Handgelenkverletzung wieder aufs Motorrad zu steigen, ist oft mehr eine Frage des Vertrauens als der Fitness. Genau dafür ist die Leatt Wrist Brace 5.5 gebaut: Die Handgelenkorthese begrenzt, wie weit sich das Handgelenk nach hinten biegen kann, und senkt so das Risiko einer Überstreckung. Leatt hat sie für Fahrer entwickelt, die nach einer Handgelenkverletzung zurückkehren, und für alle, die auf Strecke oder Trail zusätzliche Stabilität wünschen.
Eine Orthese passt an das linke wie an das rechte Handgelenk, und mit zwei austauschbaren Flex-Streben bestimmen Sie selbst, wie viel Bewegung Sie zulassen möchten.

Verstellbares Flex-System
Herzstück der 5.5 ist ihr Strebensystem. Leatt legt zwei austauschbare Flex-Streben bei, eine für mittleren und eine für geringen Flex. Mit der weicheren Strebe behalten Sie mehr Bewegung nach hinten und damit mehr Gefühl am Lenker; die steifere schränkt das Handgelenk stärker ein. Da die Streben austauschbar sind, passen Sie die Bewegungseinschränkung an Ihren Bedarf an.
Passform und Verschluss
Geschlossen wird die Orthese mit einem ATOP-Seilzugsystem, das sich präzise einstellen lässt und für einen sicheren, individuellen Sitz sorgt. Eine Zwei-Finger-Führung positioniert die Orthese an der Hand und verbessert den Tragekomfort. Der Handgelenkriemen ist elastisch, was laut Leatt bei langen, intensiven Läufen dem Armpump vorbeugen soll. Erhältlich in S/M und L/XL.
Schutz und Zertifizierung
Leatt hat die Wrist Brace 5.5 nach der PSA-Verordnung (EU) 2016/425 CE-prüfen und zertifizieren lassen. Die Verbundkonstruktion soll das Risiko einer Überstreckung verringern. CE-Zertifikat und Konformitätserklärung stellt Leatt zur Verfügung.
Material und Komfort
Laut Leatt besteht die Orthese aus 55 % Polyamid, 30 % Polypropylen, 10 % Neopren und 5 % Edelstahl in den Bauteilen des ATOP-Seilzugs. Das zweiteilige Neoprenfutter polstert die Kontaktflächen, und das beiliegende Ersatzpolster-Set ist für den längeren Gebrauch gedacht. Das Gewicht gibt Leatt mit 520 g an.
Einsatzbereich
Leatt richtet die 5.5 an Motocross- und Enduro-Fahrer, an solche, die nach einer Handgelenkverletzung zurückkommen, ebenso wie an alle, die auf Strecke oder Trail einfach mehr Stabilität möchten. Zur Orthese stellt Leatt eine Anleitung, das CE-Zertifikat, die EU-Konformitätserklärung und eine PFAS-Erklärung bereit; die Unterlagen liegen also vor, falls Verein, Versicherung oder Physiotherapeut danach fragen.
Was Sie wissen sollten
Die Orthese begrenzt die Bewegung des Handgelenks und senkt damit das Risiko; jede Verletzung verhindern kann sie nicht, und nach einer Verletzung entscheidet Ihr Arzt, wann Sie wieder fahren. Lesen Sie bitte vor dem ersten Einsatz die Anleitung von Leatt, sie erklärt auch den Einbau der Streben.
