Ausschließlich für die Anforderungen des professionellen Rundstreckenrennsports entwickelt, verkörpert die K-Tech KTR-4 Gabel mit Direct Damping System den aktuellen Stand der Technik im Wettbewerbs-Fahrwerksbau. Bewährt auf höchstem Niveau – unter anderem in der British Superbike Championship und bei der Isle of Man TT – liefert diese 770-mm-Gabel die Präzision, Stabilität und reproduzierbare Dämpfungskontrolle, die Podiumsplätze von der restlichen Konkurrenz trennt.
Wichtigste Merkmale
- Das Direct Damping System (DDS) verhindert Kavitation und sorgt für ein gleichbleibendes, vorhersehbares Dämpfungsverhalten auch bei anhaltender Rennbelastung.

Direct Damping System – Warum das wichtig ist
Konventionelle Kartuschengabeln leiten Öl durch gestapelte Shims innerhalb einer geschlossenen Kartusche – eine Bauweise, die bei schnellen, wiederholten Anregungen naturgemäß zu Kavitation neigt. Das Direct Damping System von K-Tech führt den Ölfluss direkter durch den Dämpfungskreislauf und verhindert so den Lufteintrag, der Kavitation und den damit verbundenen Abfall der Dämpfungskraft verursacht. Das Ergebnis ist eine Gabel, die sich in Runde eins genauso verhält wie in Runde dreißig, und die Fahrer wie Techniker eine verlässliche, reproduzierbare Ausgangsbasis für die Abstimmung gibt. Da Druck- und Zugstufe unabhängig voneinander arbeiten, wirken sich Änderungen an einer Charakteristik nicht auf die andere aus – ein entscheidender Vorteil bei der Feinabstimmung zwischen den Sessions.
Materialien und Konstruktion
Die Standrohre und der Achsträger der KTR-4 bestehen beide aus 7075-T6-Aluminium, einer der stärksten verfügbaren Aluminiumlegierungen, die auch in der Luft- und Raumfahrt sowie im Hochleistungsmotorsport zum Einsatz kommt. Die gleitenden Tauchrohre erhalten eine Diamond-Like-Carbon-(DLC)-Beschichtung, gefolgt von einem Superfinish-Verfahren, das eine Oberflächenhärte und -glätte erzeugt, die herkömmliche Hartverchromung oder Nitrierung nicht erreichen. Die Reibung wird über den gesamten Federweg minimiert, sodass das Fahrwerk selbst auf kleinste Fahrbahn- oder Streckenunebenheiten reagiert – essenziell für gleichbleibenden Reifenkontakt und Bremsstabilität in schnellen Kurven.
Streckeneinsatz und Einbau
Die KTR-4 ist ausschließlich für den Einsatz auf geschlossenen Rennstrecken konzipiert und zugelassen. Der Einbau erfordert spezielle Zusatzkomponenten wie Aftermarket-Gabelbrücken, Lenker und Achseinsätze. Um maximale Sicherheit und Leistung zu gewährleisten, darf die Montage ausschließlich durch ein autorisiertes K-Tech Service Center erfolgen. Dies ist kein einfaches Bolt-on-Upgrade, sondern eine professionelle Rennsportkomponente, die einen fachgerechten Einbau erfordert. Drei Federpaare der K-Tech-Baureihe 36-260 sind im Lieferumfang enthalten, sodass die passende Federrate direkt nach dem Einbau ausgewählt und feinabgestimmt werden kann.
