Gefertigt aus CNC-bearbeiteten Komponenten und verfeinert in einigen der anspruchsvollsten Rennserien der Welt, liefert der K-Tech DDS Pro Stoßdämpfer genau die präzise Fahrwerkskontrolle, zu der die Kawasaki ZX-6R schon immer fähig war – mit der Serienfederung aber selten erreicht. Diese renneinsatzbereite Einheit ist mit engsten Toleranzen gefertigt und hat sich im British-Superbike-Wettbewerb sowie auf dem Isle-of-Man-TT-Kurs bewährt.

Rennerprobte Konstruktion
K-Tech hat den DDS Pro konsequent auf die Anforderungen des Profi-Rennsports ausgelegt. Der 35-mm-RCU-Körper wird aus hochwertigem Aluminium gefertigt, und die 12-mm-RCU-Kolbenstange ist mit engsten Toleranzen bearbeitet, um über ein komplettes Rennwochenende hinweg eine gleichbleibende Dämpfungsleistung zu gewährleisten. Jede Einstellung – von Druck- und Zugstufenkreisen bis zum ByPass Valve – ist in eindeutigen, reproduzierbaren Klicks indiziert, sodass Einstellungen protokolliert, verglichen und zuverlässig wiederhergestellt werden können. Die im DDS-System integrierten Potentiometer-Befestigungspunkte ermöglichen den direkten Anschluss an Datenlogger und geben Fahrern und Technikern ohne zusätzlichen Aufwand Zugriff auf Echtzeit-Positionsdaten des Dämpfers.
Einsatz und Setup auf der Rennstrecke
Die ByPass-Valve-Technologie im Herzen des DDS Pro löst eine der häufigsten Schwächen herkömmlicher Stoßdämpfer: den Zielkonflikt zwischen Ansprechverhalten im Low-Speed-Bereich und Kontrolle im High-Speed-Bereich. Der BPV-Kreis verarbeitet kleine, schnelle Impulse – Fahrbahnstruktur, Curb-Kontakte, kleinere Bremsunregelmäßigkeiten – unabhängig vom Hauptdämpfungskreis, sodass die Haupteinstellungen für Druck- und Zugstufe rein auf größere Fahrwerksbewegungen optimiert werden können. Das Ergebnis ist ein Dämpfer, der gleichermaßen ansprechend und satt liegt, ohne die Härte, die typischerweise mit Renn-Dämpfung einhergeht. Empfohlene Grundeinstellungen sind 8 Klicks Druckstufe, 8 Klicks Zugstufe, 8 Klicks BPV und 10 mm Vorspannung – ein ausgewogener Ausgangspunkt für die Entwicklung eines streckenspezifischen Setups.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Diese Einheit passt direkt an die Kawasaki ZX-6R aller Modelljahre von 2009 bis 2019. Obere und untere Befestigung sind als Augen ausgeführt, jeweils 30 mm breit mit 10 mm Schraubendurchmesser, passend zu den werksseitigen Befestigungspunkten – ohne Änderungen. Der Einbau erfordert Spezialwerkzeug und Fachwissen; K-Tech empfiehlt für optimale Sicherheit und Leistung den Einbau durch ein autorisiertes K-Tech Service Center.
