Wenn Sie sich ein spürbar präziseres und konsistenteres Gefühl am Vorderrad Ihrer Yamaha YZF-R7 wünschen, ohne gleich eine komplette Gabelüberholung durchzuführen, ist das K-Tech DDS Closed Cartridge Kit das praktischste und lohnendste Upgrade, das es gibt. Es wurde speziell für die serienmäßigen Gabelholme der YZF-R7 (Modelljahre 2021–2026) entwickelt und verändert den werkseitigen Dämpfungscharakter mithilfe rennerprobter Technologie, die in der British-Superbike-Meisterschaft und bei der Isle of Man TT entwickelt wurde – und bleibt dabei voll straßenzugelassen sowie flexibel genug für den täglichen Weg zur Arbeit ebenso wie für Trackdays am Wochenende.
Hauptmerkmale
- 30-fach unabhängig einstellbare Zug- und Druckstufe für präzise, reproduzierbare Dämpfungseinstellungen auf Straße oder Strecke – ganz ohne Rätselraten.
- Das patentierte Direct Damping System (DDS) verhindert Kavitation, sodass die Performance konstant bleibt – egal, ob Sie sich durch den Stadtverkehr schlängeln oder mit hohem Tempo hart in eine Kurve bremsen.
- Asymmetrische, unabhängig voneinander arbeitende Dämpfungskreise verbessern das Ansprechverhalten und das dynamische Fahrgefühl im Vergleich zur Serienkartusche.
- Der 20-mm-Kolben und die 31-mm-Steuerventile arbeiten zusammen und sorgen für einen besseren Ölfluss sowie eine feinere Dämpfungskontrolle über den gesamten Federweg.
- Die 18-mm-Federvorspannung lässt sich ganz ohne Spezialwerkzeug an Ihr Gewicht, Ihre Zuladung oder Ihren Fahrstil anpassen.
- Der gegenüber der Originalkartusche vergrößerte Federweg verbessert das Ansprechen auf Unebenheiten und sorgt für mehr nutzbaren Federweg auf schlechten Straßenbelägen.
- Im Lieferumfang enthalten sind drei Federpaare sowie spezielles Montagewerkzeug, sodass Sie von Anfang an alles für ein individuelles Basis-Setup zur Hand haben.
Die DDS-Technologie erklärt
Das Direct Damping System von K-Tech bringt die Dämpfungskreise in einem geschlossenen Kartuschenformat unter, das direkt auf die Ölsäule wirkt – statt sich, wie bei vielen Serien-Gabeln üblich, auf lose Shimstack-Pakete zu verlassen. Eine Federkraft hält die internen Bauteile unter konstanter Last und verhindert so Luftverwirbelungen im Öl und Druckabfälle – Kavitation genannt –, die für das vage, unstete Gefühl verantwortlich sind, das bei hart gefahrenen Serien-Gabeln oft auftritt. Das Ergebnis ist ein Vorderrad, das Runde für Runde oder Kilometer für Kilometer gleich reagiert, unabhängig von Temperatur oder Tempo.
Die 8-mm-Kolbenstange reduziert den Systemversatz, hält die interne Geometrie kompakt und trägt zur insgesamt feinfühligeren Dämpfungskurve bei. In Kombination mit dem 20-mm-Hauptkolben und dem 31-mm-Steuerkolben ist jedes Element des Hydraulikkreises exakt auf die Gabelmaße der YZF-R7 abgestimmt – statt von einer generischen Plattform übernommen zu werden.
Vielseitig für Straße und Rennstrecke
Für den Rennsport entwickelte Hardware muss nicht ausschließlich für den Rennsport bestimmt sein. Die 30-fach einstellbaren Zug- und Druckstufen erlauben es, für lange Straßentouren eine weichere, komfortablere Einstellung zu fahren und alles für den Trackday mit nur einem kleinen Schlitzschraubendreher und dem mitgelieferten Werkzeug straffer zu machen. Die empfohlenen Basiseinstellungen – 16 Klicks Druckstufe, 18 Klicks Zugstufe, 10 mm Vorspannung – bieten einen ausgewogenen Ausgangspunkt für eine Vielzahl von Fahrern und Bedingungen, sodass das Kit schon vor dem Feintuning spürbare Verbesserungen bringt.
