Speziell für die Triumph Daytona 675 und 675 R über alle Modelljahre von 2007 bis 2017 entwickelt, trägt der K&N KN-204-1 Racing-Ölfilter mehr als fünf Jahrzehnte Motorsport-Ingenieurskunst in jeden Ölwechsel. Seine rennerprobte Konstruktion und präzise Filterleistung machen ihn ebenso zu Hause bei einem sonntäglichen Trackday wie im täglichen Straßenverkehr.
Hauptmerkmale
- 17-mm-Sechskant, an die Bodenplatte angeschweißt, für schnellen, werkzeuglosen Ausbau mit einem gewöhnlichen Schraubenschlüssel – Bandschlüssel oder Spezialwerkzeug sind nicht erforderlich.
- In das Gehäuse eingearbeitete Sicherungsdraht-Bohrung, sodass der Filter für die technische Abnahme ordnungsgemäß verdrahtet werden kann – erfüllt die meisten Streckenreglements ohne Modifikation.
- Die Gehäusewand ist 50% dicker als bei einem Standardfilter und bietet damit spürbar mehr Druckfestigkeit bei den hohen Öldrücken, die ein hart bewegter Dreizylinder erzeugt.
- Die verstärkte Bodenplatte mit doppelt gebördelter Dichtnaht sorgt für eine dauerhaft dichte Verbindung, die thermischen Zyklen und Vibrationen standhält.
- Der vorgeschmierte O-Ring setzt sich bei der Montage sauber, wodurch das Risiko einer trockenen Passung und des damit folgenden langsamen Sickerns entfällt.
- Das Rückschlagventil hält die Ölgalerie zwischen Kaltstarts vorgefüllt und schützt den eng tolerierten Motor der Daytona vor der Verschleißspitze eines trockenen Anlassens.
- Das neue Überdruckventil regelt den Ölfluss bei anhaltendem Renneinsatz im hohen Drehzahlbereich, verhindert eine Filterumgehung und sichert die Filtrationsleistung auf der Strecke.
- Das hochentwickelte Synthetik-Filtermedium fängt Metallpartikel und Verunreinigungen ab und hält dabei eine hohe Durchflussrate, sodass der Öldruck niemals zulasten sauberen Öls sinkt.
- Voll kompatibel mit modernen vollsynthetischen Motorölen und so konzipiert, dass er dem Eindringen von Rennkraftstoff-Dämpfen widersteht.

Der KN-204-1 spiegelt dieses Erbe unmittelbar wider: Das charakteristische rot eloxierte Gehäuse und das geprägte K&N-Logo sind keine kosmetischen Zutaten, sondern Kennzeichen eines Filters, dessen Spezifikation auf der Rennstrecke ihren Anfang nahm.
