Wohin die Bedienelemente verschwunden sind
Die Schnellgasgriff-Baugruppe übernimmt die Halterung, die der Original-Block genutzt hat. Diese Einheit gibt diesen Funktionen ein neues Zuhause und ordnet sie für den Strecken- statt den Straßeneinsatz an.
Ausdrücklich eine Ergänzung
Er wird neben der Gasgriff-Hardware montiert, nicht an Stelle von irgendetwas. Das klar zu sagen erspart die Enttäuschung, die sonst mit dem Paket ankommt.
Eine kürzere Drehung
Rund ein Drittel weniger Drehweg bis zum Vollgas. Bei einer Supermoto, die ständig mit dem rechten Handgelenk bearbeitet wird, verändert das den Rhythmus einer ganzen Fahrt.
Titanfarbene Eloxierung
Ein einziges Finish, mitten im Umbau gewählt, um zur begleitenden Hardware zu passen. Bei einer so unruhigen Lackierung wie der der RVE ist es außerdem am wenigsten geeignet, einen Stilbruch zu verursachen.
Elemente nach Militärstandard
Deutlich stärker abgedichtet, als es ein Straßenmotorrad verlangt. Schmutz gelangt an eingeclipsten Abdeckungen vorbei und verschwindet, anders als Wasser, nie wieder, sobald er an einem Kontakt liegt.
Vorverkabelt für den Original-Stecker
Nirgendwo wird etwas gespleißt. Der Umbau lässt sich vollständig zurückbauen, was bei einer Version wichtig ist, die Käufer gezielt wegen ihrer Optik erwerben.
Lackiert, nicht foliert
Das Graffiti-Design wird in einem mehrstufigen Lackierprozess aufgebracht statt als Folie. Das ist aufwendiger in der Produktion, hält aber Laufleistungen aus, die eine Folierung nicht überstehen würde.
Verlängert statt limitiert
Ducati plante eine limitierte Serie und baute weiter, weil die Nachfrage nicht nachließ. Die RVE wurde zu der Version, die den meisten einfällt, wenn sie an eine 950 denken.
Quickshifter serienmäßig
Die bidirektionale Einheit ist serienmäßig an Bord. Bei so viel Drehmoment wird sie an jeder Kreuzung genutzt, nicht nur für Trackdays aufgespart.
Eine Sitzbank für Bewegung
Lang und flach, weil sich ein Supermoto-Fahrer ständig nach vorn und hinten verlagert, statt sich auf einem Platz einzurichten. Das ist das klarste Zeichen dafür, dass Ducati hier eine echte Supermoto gebaut hat und kein Naked Bike auf hohem Fahrwerk.
