The JP ACS 050 replaces the Panigale 1199's throttle housing with a machined aluminium body, leaving the original switch block in place.

A Superbike Without a Frame
Ducati dispensed with the trellis entirely on the 1199 and bolted the steering head to the cylinder heads through an aluminium monocoque. It was the most radical thing anyone had done to a production superbike in years.
The Superquadro
A hundred and twelve millimetres of bore against sixty point eight of stroke, which is an extreme ratio for a twin. It produced 195 hp from 1198 cc and it made the engine sound and behave unlike any Ducati before it.
Housing Only
This part replaces the throttle assembly and nothing else. The original switch block stays on the bar, which makes it the cheaper way to improve the cockpit when the switches are still working properly.
Where the Tube Runs
The throttle tube rotates inside a bore in this body. Cut on a machine, it holds its tolerance where a moulded one gradually opens up and lets the grip develop play against the housing.
Ride-by-Wire
The 1199 reads the twist grip electronically rather than pulling on a cable. That makes the housing a sensor mount, and consistency in the bore turns directly into consistency in what the engine is told.
Black Anodised
One finish, converted into the aluminium rather than applied over it. Against the Panigale's red bodywork it stays out of the way, which is generally what a cockpit component should do.
What the Original Is
Moulded plastic in two halves with a clipped joint. It works for years and then develops a rattle at the bar end, at which point the whole assembly is the only thing Ducati sells.
Cut From Ergal 7075
An aerospace grade with roughly twice the yield strength of the 6000 series aluminium found in most machined accessories. It costs more to cut and it does not deform in a low-speed fall.
