Die Ninja 400 ist das Rückgrat des SuperSport-300-Rennsports, und ein großer Teil dieser Motorräder fährt mit Mectronik-Motormanagement statt mit dem Kawasaki-Original. Der JP SPK 024 ist der Kill-Switch für diese Konfiguration — gleiche Idee wie beim Standardteil, anderer Stecker.

Welcher Taster für welches Motorrad
JetPrime führt zwei Kill-Switches für die Ninja 400. Das Standardteil passt zu einem Motorrad mit originalem Kawasaki-Kabelbaum, diese SuperSport-Version zu einer auf Mectronik umgebauten Maschine. Der Taster selbst ist identisch, das Kabelende nicht — und die falsche Bestellung bedeutet ein Teil, das sich nicht anschließen lässt. Das Steuergerät unter der Sitzbank ist der schnellste Weg, beide auseinanderzuhalten.
Gramm an einer 400er
350 Gramm klingen gering, bis man sie gegen ein Motorrad mit unter 170 kg vollgetankt hält, das in einer Klasse fährt, in der alle auf derselben Maschine sitzen. Sie verschwinden am Lenkkopf, der schlechtesten Stelle eines Motorrads für Masse, und sie verschwinden zum Preis eines Bauteils, das man ohnehin ausbauen wollte.
Zwischen den Turns
Das praktische Argument für den Ausbau des Zylinders an einer Renn-400er ist vor allem Zeit. Kein Schlüssel zu suchen, nichts, was in der Zündung stecken bleibt, nichts, was nach einem nassen Rennwochenende festgeht. Der Taster ist nach IP69K gekapselt, kann also mit dem Rest des Motorrads abgespritzt werden, statt umfahren zu werden — und es gibt keinen Schließzylinder, der danach trocknen müsste.
