Gestaffelt, nicht ausgerichtet
Die Befestigungsschrauben sitzen versetzt zueinander statt auf einer Achse. Das ist die Anordnung für die andere der beiden Bremszylinder-Klemmen, und das eine lässt sich nicht an das andere anpassen.
Dreißig Sekunden mit einem Inbusschlüssel
Den vorhandenen Block lösen, nachsehen, wo die Schrauben ansetzen, und die Frage ist beantwortet. Das vor der Bestellung zu tun, ist schneller als die Rücksendung, die auf ein Raten folgt.
Ein Einzylinder, den Ducati keinen Grund hatte zu bauen
Das Unternehmen hatte seit Jahrzehnten keinen straßentauglichen Einzylinder im Programm gehabt. Es tat es, weil ein Supermoto mit einem Zylinder wirklich besser funktioniert, und machte diesen Zylinder dann zum stärksten seiner Art, den irgendjemand verkauft.
Neuntausendsiebenhundertfünfzig Umdrehungen
Für einen 659-cm³-Einzylinder ist das nahe an unvernünftig, und es ist nur möglich, weil Ducati den desmodromischen Ventilschluss vom Panigale-Zweizylinder übernommen hat.
Ein Gehäuse ohne Fuge
Aus einem Stück Ergal 7075 geschnitten. Es gibt keine Verbindung zwischen zwei Hälften, was sowohl das Klappern als auch den Weg beseitigt, den Schmutz in Richtung eines Kontakts nehmen könnte.
Schwarz oder Titanfarben
Beide in die oberste Schicht des Aluminiums eingewachsen statt aufgesprüht. Ein Bordstein stumpft die Oberfläche ab, statt sie an einer Kante abzuheben.
Die vielbeschäftigte Hand
Zwischen Gas, Bremse und den Bedienungen daneben steht die rechte Hand an einem Supermoto nie still. Gefräste Kanten machen diese Eingaben durch einen Handschuh hindurch eindeutig.
Zwei Ausgleichswellen
Ohne sie wäre ein so großer und so drehfreudiger Einzylinder unerträglich. Mit ihnen läuft der Motor so ruhig, dass Fahrer vergessen, wie wenige Zylinder sie benutzen.
Ducatis eigener Stecker
Vorverdrahtet, nichts gespleisst. Zwei Schrauben und ein Steckverbinder, und der Kabelbaum bleibt unberührt.
