Die Überarbeitung von 2017
Aprilia überarbeitete 2017 Motor und Verkleidung, erreichte 201 PS und fügte kurvenabhängiges ABS auf Basis einer Sechs-Achsen-Plattform hinzu. Die RR erhielt das meiste, was auch die RF bekam, blieb aber bei Sachs-Federung und dem niedrigeren Preis.
Sachs statt Öhlins
Die Federung ist der ehrliche Unterschied zwischen den beiden Varianten. Auf der Straße gibt die RR sehr wenig preis, und das gesparte Geld reicht für einiges an Reifen und Trackdays.
Kurvenabhängiges ABS
Die Trägheitsplattform teilt dem ABS mit, wie weit das Motorrad geneigt ist, und moduliert entsprechend. Sie kam von Bosch, und Aprilia integrierte sie mit APRC, damit die beiden Systeme nicht mehr gegeneinander arbeiteten.
Versetzte Bohrungen
Dieses Lochbild passt zum originalen Hauptbremszylinder. Besitzer, die eine radiale Einheit verbaut haben, brauchen stattdessen die Universalversion, und beide sehen sich auf dem Bildschirm ähnlich genug, dass sich eine Kontrolle lohnt.
Vier Oberflächen
Schwarz, blau, rot und titanfarben. Aprilias RR-Lackierungen waren meist schwarz und rot, womit zwei der vier Optionen eine Fortsetzung statt eines Kontrasts sind.
Ein abgedichtetes Gehäuse
Gefrästes Ergal mit eingeschlossenen Elementen. Eindringende Feuchtigkeit beendet das Leben von Schaltern; die geclipste Abdeckung an einer Spritzgussbaugruppe ist der Weg dazu, und dieses Design besitzt keine solche Abdeckung.
Plug and Play
Vorverkabelt an den eigenen Stecker des Motorrads. Im Karton liegt kein Adapterkabel, weil keines nötig ist, und danach erscheint nichts im Cockpit.
Sechs Achsen, die alles erfassen
Die 2017 hinzugefügte Trägheitsplattform misst Nicken, Rollen und Gieren und speist alle drei Werte in ABS und Traktionskontrolle ein. Das ist das Bauteil, das aus einzelnen Fahrassistenten etwas gemacht hat, das sich wie ein einziges System verhält.
