Sachs statt Öhlins
Die RR nutzte vorn und hinten Sachs-Einheiten, wo die RF Öhlins hatte, und Gussräder statt geschmiedeter. Motor, Rahmen und Elektronik waren identisch, was sie zum vernünftigeren der beiden Käufe machte.
APRC als Serienausstattung
Traktionskontrolle mit acht Stufen, Wheelie-Kontrolle, Launch Control und ein bidirektionaler Schaltautomat. Aprilia hatte dieses Paket Jahre vor den meisten Rivalen in Serie, entwickelt an einem Bike, das zu dieser Zeit Weltmeisterschaften gewann.
Ein um den Motor gebauter Rahmen
Der Aluminium-Doppelrahmen umschließt einen ungewöhnlich kurzen V4, was Aprilia Freiheit bei Radstand und Gewichtsverteilung gab, die ein längerer Reihenvierzylinder nicht erlaubt hätte. Das Ergebnis fährt sich wie ein kleineres Motorrad.
Universeller Lochabstand
Ein Spannmuster deckt den Original-Hauptbremszylinder und die radialen Zubehör-Einheiten ab. Es beseitigt den häufigsten Bestellfehler bei Schaltereinheiten – den Kauf für die falsche Bremsanlage.
Wo das Original versagt
Nicht der Knopf, sondern der Kontakt dahinter, nachdem Feuchtigkeit sich an einer Schnappdeckel-Abdeckung vorbeigearbeitet hat. Der Ausfall ist monatelang unregelmäßig, bevor er dauerhaft wird, und Aprilias Abhilfe ist die komplette Einheit.
Drei Oberflächen
Schwarz, rot und titanfarben, durchgehend eloxiert. Bei einer RR in Aprilias eigenen Farben hält Schwarz den Lenker ruhig, und Titanfarben nimmt die Gabelbrücken auf, ohne Gold vorzutäuschen.
Der Original-Steckverbinder
Vorverkabelt auf Aprilias Stecker. Der Austausch ist mechanisch statt elektrisch, was den Unterschied zwischen einem Nachmittag und einem Wochenende ausmacht, wenn das Bike am Sonntag gefahren werden muss.
