Gestufte Montage
Diese Version trägt das versetzte statt das ausgerichtete Bohrbild. Es ist die Anordnung, die zu der anderen der beiden an diesen Motorrädern vorkommenden Klemmungen passt, und das eine lässt sich nicht für das andere zweckentfremden.
Vor der Bestellung klären
Der Unterschied ist auf einem Produktfoto nicht zu erkennen. Den vorhandenen Block vom Lenker zu nehmen und nachzusehen, wo die Schrauben eintreten, dauert zwei Minuten und verhindert die häufigste Rücksendung in dieser Kategorie.
Ein Rahmen ohne Heckteil
Aprilia nutzt den Motor als tragendes Element und verschraubt die Schwinge direkt daran, ganz ohne Heckrahmen. Deshalb wiegt die RS 660 183 Kilogramm, und deshalb lässt sich am Fahrwerk kaum etwas ändern.
Elektronik aus einer höheren Klasse
Sechsachsige Messung, Kurven-ABS, Traktions- und Wheelie-Kontrolle, einstellbare Motorbremse. Das war eine Litermotorrad-Ausstattung zum Mittelklassepreis und hat die Erwartungen an dieses Segment neu definiert.
Schwarz eloxiert
Eine Oberfläche, in das Aluminium umgewandelt. Es ist die Entscheidung, die der Verkleidung die optische Arbeit überlässt, was bei einem so geformten Motorrad in der Regel richtig ist.
Gefräst und abgedichtet
Aus einem Block geschnitten, mit eingeschlossenen Schaltelementen. Die serienmäßige Gussausführung hat eine durchgehende Fuge, und genau durch diese Fuge gelangt irgendwann das Wasser hinein.
Gefühl durch den Handschuh
Gefräste Kanten und definierter Hub geben dem Fahrer Informationen, die eine glatte Gussoberfläche nicht liefert. Das ist der praktische Grund, einen Block zu tauschen, der technisch noch funktioniert.
Original-Stecker
Vorverkabelt auf den Stecker von Aprilia, sodass der Austausch rein mechanisch ist. Nichts wird gespleißt und nichts erscheint danach im Display.
