Ein Teil über zwei Hubräume
JetPrime führt diesen Block sowohl für die 457 als auch für die 660. Aprilia verwendet einen gemeinsamen Lenkerdurchmesser, eine gemeinsame Halterung und einen gemeinsamen Stecker über die gesamte Tuono-Familie, und dem Schalter ist es gleich, was hinter dem Tank sitzt.
Kayaba an beiden Enden
Gabel und Federbein der Factory lassen sich in Federvorspannung, Zug- und Druckstufe einstellen. Sie richtig einzustellen macht aus einem guten Motorrad ein merklich besseres, und die Besitzer, die sich die Mühe machen, sind diejenigen, die sich danach auch alles andere ansehen.
Tempomat auf einem 95-PS-Naked
Aprilia verbaute ihn und integrierte ihn in die Fahrmodi, sodass er sich vorhersehbar statt abrupt ausschaltet. Auf einem Motorrad, das echte Strecken zurücklegt, wird er zu einem der am häufigsten betätigten Bedienelemente des Motorrads.
Zehntausendfünfhundert Umdrehungen
Der 659-cm³-Zweizylinder dreht deutlich höher, als es ein Paralleltwin dieser Größe normalerweise tut, weil er Bohrung und Hub von der RSV4 erbte. Er honoriert es, hart gefahren zu werden – etwas, das der Rest der Klasse aktiv vermeidet.
Ergal 7075, nicht Aluminium im Allgemeinen
Die Legierung ist eine zinkhaltige Luftfahrtlegierung mit etwa der doppelten Streckgrenze der 6000er-Serie, die bei den meisten gefrästen Zubehörteilen verwendet wird. Sie ist teurer in der Bearbeitung und verformt sich nicht, wenn das Motorrad umfällt.
Was tatsächlich ausfällt
Die Mechanik überlebt den darunterliegenden Kontakt. Feuchtigkeit dringt über die geformte Nahtstelle ein, steht über einen Winter an einem Anschluss und korrodiert ihn, und der Fehler zeigt sich im folgenden Frühjahr als Schalter, der funktioniert, wann es ihm gefällt.
Schwarz oder titanfarben
Das Eloxieren wandelt die oberste Schicht des Metalls um, statt darauf zu liegen. Ein Kratzer trübt das Finish, löst es aber nicht ab, und darunter verblasst keine aufgedruckte Beschriftung.
Fünfzehn Minuten
Lenkerende, Griff, zwei Schrauben, ein Stecker. Der Kabelbaum endet in Aprilias eigenem Stecker, sodass der gesamte Austausch rein mechanisch erfolgt und die Elektronik nie davon erfährt.
Ein Fahrwerk, das sich nicht ändern lässt
Die Schwinge ist am Motor verschraubt, und es gibt kein hinteres Hilfsrahmenteil – deshalb wiegt die Factory 183 Kilogramm, und deshalb lässt sich an ihrer Geometrie später fast nichts verändern. Besitzer, die das Motorrad verbessern wollen, landen am Ende bei den Bauteilen, die sie erreichen können, und der Lenker ist der erste Ort, an dem sie dabei ankommen.
