Konsequent solo
MV entfernte Beifahrersitz und dessen Fußrasten vollständig, statt sie optional zu machen, was das Heck drastisch verkürzt und das Mitnehmen einer zweiten Person ausschließt. Nur sehr wenige Hersteller treffen eine so endgültige Entscheidung.
Speichenräder, breites Hinterrad
Ein 200er-Hinterreifen auf einem speichenbasierten Rad mit Aluminiumfelge gibt der Dragster ihre Statur und kostet etwas von der Handlichkeit der Brutale. MV traf diesen Kompromiss bewusst, und die Käufer honorierten ihn offensichtlich.
Die ursprüngliche Generation
Diese Passform gilt für 2014 bis 2017, vor den Versionen RC und SCS mit abweichendem Elektrik-Layout. Die späteren Bikes sehen sich sehr ähnlich und benötigen andere Teile, sodass das Zulassungsjahr entscheidet und nicht die Optik.
Alles sichtbar
Gitterrohrrahmen, einarmige Schwinge, offene Felgen und keine Karosserie jeglicher Art. Der Lenkerbereich ist einer der wenigen Orte an diesem Motorrad, an dem eine gewöhnliche Industriekomponente erscheint, und sie liegt direkt im Blickfeld des Fahrers.
Wetter bei Straßengeschwindigkeit
Nichts an der Dragster lenkt irgendetwas von den Bedienelementen ab. Versiegelte Elemente in einem Gehäuse ohne Spritzguss-Fuge sind die praktische Antwort, und die Serien-Baugruppe bietet keine dieser beiden Eigenschaften.
Drei Oberflächen
Schwarz, Rot und Titanfarben. Dragster werden häufig in auffälligen Sondereditionsfarben bestellt, und gegen diese ist Schwarz meist die Option, die das Cockpit ruhig lässt statt zu konkurrieren.
Aus einem Block geschnitten
Ergal 7075 aus dem Vollen gefräst. Die Fuge in einem zweiteiligen Gehäuse ist dort, wo Knöpfe ihre Kontur verlieren und wo Wasser einen Weg findet, und ein einteiliges Gehäuse beseitigt beide Probleme auf einmal.
