Die Euro-5-Generation
MV überarbeitete die Brutale 2021 erneut mit überarbeiteter Abgasanlage, aktualisierter Elektronik und neuem Instrumentenpanel. Es ist die letzte Version eines Motorrads, das über ein Jahrzehnt in drei eigenständigen Ausprägungen lief, und die ausgereifteste davon.
Ein größeres Display, mehr Menü
Das neuere Instrumentenpanel brachte eine tiefere Menüstruktur, und all das wird vom linken Schalter aus zusammen mit Blinkern und Hupe gesteuert. Das Gehäuse wurde dafür nicht größer, sodass die Tasten enger beieinander sitzen als an früheren Modellen.
Eine Trennung, die der Daumen fühlt
Wo Tasten eng beieinander sitzen, leistet die physische Stufe zwischen ihnen, was aufgedruckte Symbole nicht können, weil niemand während der Fahrt auf den Lenker schaut. Gefräste Stufen funktionieren bei jedem Licht und durch jeden Handschuh.
Wetter erreicht alles
Ein Naked Bike bietet seinem Schalter keinerlei Schutz. Abgedichtete Elemente in einem einteiligen, gefrästen Gehäuse entscheiden darüber, ob der Blinker nach fünf europäischen Wintern täglicher Nutzung noch richtig einrastet.
Drei Modelljahre
Die Passform deckt 2021 bis 2023 ab. Das Modell von 2016 bis 2020 und die ursprüngliche Maschine von 2012 nutzen beide andere elektrische Anordnungen, und alle drei sehen sich eng genug ähnlich, dass die Zulassungsbescheinigung die verlässliche Prüfung ist.
Eine gegenläufig drehende Kurbelwelle
Von der F3 übernommen, hebt sie einen Teil des gyroskopischen Widerstands der Räder auf und ist der Grund, warum eine Brutale schneller in eine Kurve kippt, als es ihre Geometrie vermuten lässt.
Schwarz eloxiert
Eine Oberfläche, in die Fläche eingebracht statt nur aufgetragen. Zu den dunklen Kunststoffen und offenen Rahmenrohren der Brutale passt sie, und ein Stoß macht sie matter, statt eine helle Narbe zu hinterlassen.
