KTMs Überarbeitung von 2017 brachte Kurven-ABS, schräglagensensible Traktionskontrolle, Wheelie-Kontrolle und vier Fahrmodi, alles über die linke Einheit zusammen mit Blinkern und Hupe navigiert. Das Gehäuse wurde dafür nicht vergrößert.
Modi, die deutlich unterscheiden
Rain, Street, Sport und Track sind an einem 177-PS-Naked-Bike keine Marketing-Unterscheidung; sie verändern Gasannahme und Eingriffsschwellen erheblich. Fahrer nutzen sie, was bedeutet, dass die dahinterliegenden Bedienelemente reale Betätigungen ansammeln.
Kleine Knöpfe bei Fahrt
Eine Traktionsstufe an einer Super Duke anzupassen passiert mit einer Hand, die sich gleichzeitig gegen den Fahrtwind festhält. Die gefräste Stufe um jedes Bedienelement macht diesen Druck sicher, wenn ein Blick nach unten ausgeschlossen ist.
Nichts zwischen Lenker und Wetter
Eine symbolische Flyscreen und nichts weiter. Regen erreicht die Schalteinheit bei Straßengeschwindigkeit und bleibt dort, und die Nahtstelle einer zweiteiligen geclipsten Baugruppe ist genau dort, wo sie irgendwann einen sporadischen Fehler verursacht.
Ein vollständig sichtbares Cockpit
Bei einem Naked-Bike ist der Lenkerbereich das Größte im Blickfeld des Fahrers und ein wesentlicher Teil davon, wie das Motorrad von außen wirkt. Eine aus dem Vollen gefräste Komponente verändert diesen Eindruck weit über ihre Größe hinaus.
Der Puls eines großen Zweizylinders
Dreizehnhundert Kubikzentimeter in zwei Zylindern lockern Befestigungen, die ein Reihenvierzylinder in Ruhe lässt. Ein einteilig gefrästes, mit einer Schraube geklemmtes Gehäuse bleibt über Jahreszeiten statt nur Monate an seinem Platz.
Schwarz eloxiert
Eine Oberfläche, in das Material eingebracht. Gegen orangene Rahmenrohre und dunkle Kunststoffe passt sie, und ein Schlag stumpft sie ab statt eine helle Kerbe zu hinterlassen.
