Gebaut, weil es möglich war
Kawasaki hatte den Kompressor und das technische Know-how und baute ein Naked Bike darum herum, vor allem, um es zu beweisen. Das machen nur noch sehr wenige Hersteller.
Nichts Vergleichbares
Es gibt kein anderes Serienmotorrad mit Kompressor, zu welchem Preis auch immer, geschweige denn ein Naked Bike. Die Z H2 hat die Kategorie ganz für sich allein.
Beide Hälften in einem Karton
Der elektrische Eliminator, der das Steuergerät zufriedenstellt, und die Verschlussplatte, die den Zylinderkopf verschließt. Keines von beiden ist für sich allein eine Stilllegung, und das Kit nimmt die Versuchung, nur die Hälfte zu erledigen.
Eine halbe Arbeit ist schlimmer
Wird der Zylinderkopf verschlossen, während der Stromkreis aktiv ist, beschwert sich das Display. Wird der Stromkreis stillgelegt, während der Zylinderkopf offen ist, lässt eine gerissene Membran weiterhin Gas in Richtung Filter durch.
Eine sinnvolle Reihenfolge
Erst mechanisch, zuletzt elektrisch. Wer den Eliminator einsteckt, bevor die Verschlussplatte montiert ist, muss schlicht ohne Grund zweimal testen.
Was zur vollständigen Arbeit gehört
Kein offener Anschluss im Zylinderkopf, keine verschleißanfällige Membranbaugruppe an einem heißen Gussteil, kein Schlauch über dem Motor und kein Fehlercode im Display. Alles andere lässt etwas zurück.
Günstiger als einzeln gekauft
Das Kit kostet weniger als die beiden Bauteile einzeln, und dabei ist der zweite Abend, den es erspart, noch gar nicht mitgerechnet.
Eine Arbeit für Geduldige
Nichts hier ist schwierig, aber alles ist fummelig. Wer bei der Schlauchführung oder beim Wiedereinbau des Tanks hetzt, sorgt dafür, dass ein sauberer Umbau nach Benzin riecht.
Abgasreinigung bei einem Kompressormotor
Kawasaki musste die Aufladung nach denselben Normen zertifizieren wie alles andere, was ein umfangreiches Technikpaket erforderte. Die Z H2 trägt mehr davon, als ihre Leistung allein vermuten ließe.
