Die JP ES 041 ersetzt das Membranventilgehäuse aus Kunststoff der Multistrada 1260 durch eine aus dem Vollen gefräste Platte, die über einen O-Ring abdichtet und in ihrem Inneren nichts mehr hat, was altern könnte.

Die letzte Multistrada mit Zweizylinder
Ducati stellte das Modell 2021 auf den V4 um, was die 1260 zur letzten Entwicklungsstufe einer Linie macht, die 2003 begann.
Homologation
Wo das System verbaut ist, ist es Teil der Typgenehmigung des Motorrads, und sein Ausbau beschränkt die Maschine in diesen Märkten auf den Wettbewerbseinsatz.
Nichts wird verbraucht
Keine Dichtung wird zerstört und keine Schraube gelängt. Alles Ausgebaute kommt genau so wieder hinein, wie es herauskam, wann immer es nötig ist.
Meist zwei Schrauben
Das Gehäuse wird von wenigen Schrauben im Zylinderkopf gehalten, und die Platte nutzt dieselben Schrauben an denselben Positionen.
So oder so ein Abend
Ob allein oder zusammen mit der elektrischen Hälfte montiert, der Zugang ist identisch. Beides auf einmal zu erledigen lohnt den Aufwand schlicht mehr.
Zugang bei einem V4
Ducati bringt vier Zylinder auf sehr engem Raum unter, und die hintere Zylinderbank ist wirklich schwer zugänglich. Wer diese Arbeit erledigt, sollte vor Beginn die Airbox ausgebaut und die Verkleidungsteile sicher abgelegt haben.
Die Hälfte, die die Platte nicht übernimmt
Die Warnung im Cockpit kommt vom Stromkreis des Magnetventils, einem separaten Bauteil an einer anderen Stelle. Wird nur die Platte montiert, bleibt die Leuchte genau da, wo sie war, und das überrascht jedes Jahr eine ganze Reihe von Besitzern. Die beiden Hälften werden gerade deshalb einzeln verkauft, weil manche Besitzer nur eine davon brauchen.
Schraubensicherung
Ducati legt fest, wo sie erwünscht ist und wo nicht, und eine Platte, die mit zwei kleinen Schrauben in einem Aluminiumkopf gehalten wird, ist in der Regel ein Fall für das richtige Anzugsmoment statt für Chemie. Wer sie aufträgt, weil es gründlich wirkt, erschwert den nächsten Ausbau, ohne irgendetwas zu gewinnen.
