Die mechanische Hälfte
Ein Membranventilgehäuse am Zylinderkopf mit einem Schlauch von der Airbox. Es ist das Bauteil, das bei geschlossenem Gas tatsächlich Luft in den Auslasskanal lässt.
Sichtbar an einem Naked Bike
Ohne Verkleidung ist die Oberseite des Motors Teil des Designs. Eine gefräste Blindplatte wirkt gewollt, wo ein verschlossener Schlauch unfertig wirkt.
Mit O-Ring abgedichtet
Ein Gummiring in einer gedrehten Nut gegen eine bearbeitete Fläche. Kein Papier, keine Dichtmasse und nichts, was Jahre später abgekratzt werden muss.
Gebaut im indischen Werk von Piaggio
Die Montage in Indien macht den Preis möglich, die Entwicklung kam aus Noale. Die Kombination hat erheblich besser funktioniert, als Skeptiker vorhergesagt hatten.
Hoher Lenker
Aprilia hat die Sitzposition aufgerichtet und den Rest unverändert gelassen. Sie ist die praktischere der beiden 457 und diejenige, die am ehesten jeden Tag gefahren wird.
Wärmezyklen
Kunststoff, der an einen Zylinderkopf geschraubt ist, muss mehr Wärmebewegung aushalten als fast alles andere am Motorrad. Aluminium ist das gleichgültig.
Originale Befestigungen
Durchgehend Aprilias eigene Schraubenpositionen und Anzugsmomente. Nichts wird gebohrt, und das Gussteil wird nicht verändert.
Nur ein Teil des Systems
Der Stromkreis des Magnetventils wird separat überwacht, deshalb hält ein verschlossener Zylinderkopf allein das Cockpit nicht frei von Meldungen.
Homologation
Der Ausbau von Abgastechnik beendet die Straßenzulassung in jedem europäischen Markt.
Rückbaubar
Das Seriengehäuse kommt mit seinen eigenen Befestigungen wieder an seinen Platz, ohne dass etwas verbraucht wird.
Siebenundvierzig PS ohne Drosselung
Der Motor erreicht seinen Wert ehrlich, statt elektronisch abgewürgt zu werden, um in die Klasse A2 zu passen, und verhält sich deshalb im gesamten Drehzahlbereich gleichmäßig. Wer später den unbeschränkten Führerschein macht, stellt meist fest, dass nicht viel gefehlt hat.
