The JP ACC MV002 is a machined replacement for the F4RC 1000's standard throttle assembly, aimed at riders whose hand runs out of travel before the engine runs out of revs.

The RC specification is MV's racing package, with titanium rods, a race exhaust in the crate and a state of tune road riders rarely explore.
Machined From Solid
Ergal cut on a machine rather than moulded, which is what allows the internal ratio to be held to a figure instead of to a tolerance band.
An Hour on the Bench
Bar end out, grip off, switchgear loosened, assembly swapped, everything back. The reset afterwards is what turns it into an appointment rather than an evening.
The Anodised Finish
Converted into the surface rather than painted onto it, which is why the assembly still looks the same after a season of cleaning products.
Not a Fix for a Sticky Throttle
A throttle that returns slowly usually has a cable, a bearing or a routing problem. Replacing the assembly hides the symptom rather than solving it.
Riding Position Comes First
Bar height, lever angle and grip diameter all affect how a throttle feels. Changing the assembly before those are right solves the wrong problem.
An Older Motorcycle
On a machine that has covered distance, the standard assembly has play the owner has stopped noticing. Fitting this often reads as a bigger change than it is.
With a Passenger
Every input reaches a pillion through the rider's back, and smoothness stops being a matter of taste. A shorter sweep makes it a skill rather than something the motorcycle supplies. Manageable, but not what this part was drawn for.
The Long View
Ten years from now the standard assembly on this motorcycle will have play in it and this one will not. That is the least exciting argument for the part and possibly the most honest one.
