The JP ACC AP009 fits the RSV4 RF in place of the moulded throttle unit and reaches wide open in sixty degrees of rotation rather than the factory's more generous sweep.

The Limited Run
The RF was the Factory package under another name for a couple of seasons, with a paint scheme and a numbered plaque. Mechanically it is the same superbike underneath and it takes the same cockpit parts.
Machined From Solid
Ergal cut on a machine rather than moulded, which is what allows the internal ratio to be held to a figure instead of to a tolerance band.
Traction Control
It reads wheel speeds and lean angle, not the grip. Changing the throttle assembly gives it nothing new to work with and takes nothing away.
Fault Codes Without the Reset
The controller compares what it reads against what it stored and reports a throttle position fault. It is not a subtle failure and it appears immediately.
Rain
Less rotation for the same opening means less margin for a cold, wet hand. The riding mode helps; the mechanical ratio does not change with weather.
Naked Bikes
Upright bars and an engine that responds instantly are the combination where riders most often ask for less rotation and get on with it immediately.
Not a Substitute for Mapping
A poor throttle response at small openings is a fuelling problem. Changing the rotation makes it arrive sooner rather than making it better.
Cut Rather Than Moulded
The internal profile converting rotation into sensor movement is the entire part. Moulded, it is made to a tolerance and widens where it runs. Machined, it holds the ratio it was drawn with for the life of the motorcycle, which is what the price difference buys.
The Sensor Carries Over
On most models the motorcycle's own position sensor moves into the new body rather than being replaced. That is what keeps the electrical side a plug being moved across, and it is why the parts are listed per machine.
