Keine Verkleidung abzubauen
An einem Naked Bike wird der Scheinwerfer einfach abgeschraubt, und das macht ihn zur schnellsten nennenswerten Gewichtsersparnis an der Front des Motorrads.
Lampenüberwachung
Aprilia prüft den Strom im Beleuchtungsstromkreis. Ein fehlender Scheinwerfer wird als Ausfall gelesen, und die Warnung bleibt bestehen, bis der Stromkreis eine Antwort erhält.
Den Stromkreis bedienen
Der Eliminator stellt die erwartete Last bereit. Im Cockpit erscheint nichts, und für einen späteren Auslesevorgang wird nichts gespeichert.
Eine Startnummerntafel
Die meisten für die Rennstrecke aufgebauten Tuonos bekommen dort, wo das Licht war, eine Tafel. Sie erfüllt die Vorgaben der Veranstalter, wiegt fast nichts und nutzt dieselben Befestigungspunkte.
Der Superbike-Rahmen
Die aktuelle Tuono nutzt das Fahrwerk der RSV4 mit längerer Schwinge und breitem Lenker. Sie ist ein Superbike, bei dem die Verkleidung weggelassen und die Ergonomie geändert wurde.
Vor der Lenkachse
Ein Scheinwerfer und sein Halter sitzen hoch und weit vorn, wo Masse am stärksten ins Gewicht fällt. Ihr Wegfall ist bei jedem Richtungswechsel spürbar.
Minuten
Der Aprilia-eigene Stecker, ohne Adapter und ohne dass etwas durchtrennt werden muss.
Nichts verändert
Der Kabelbaum bleibt so, wie ihn das Werk gebaut hat, und die Serienteile lassen sich ohne Vorbereitung wieder montieren.
Umkehrbar
Der Scheinwerfer kommt wieder an seinen Platz, sobald das Motorrad auf die Straße zurückkehrt.
Nur für die Rennstrecke
Ein Motorrad ohne Scheinwerfer ist auf keiner europäischen Straße zulässig.
Tempomat an einem nackten Superbike
Das klingt absurd, bis zwischen zwei guten Landstraßen ein Autobahnstück auftaucht und die Alternative darin besteht, hundertfünfundsiebzig PS mit dem Handgelenk konstant zu halten. Aprilia hat ihn eingebaut, weil die Käufer von Tuonos tatsächlich lange Strecken damit fahren.
Der Wind ist die Grenze
Ohne Verkleidung ist der Fahrer die Aerodynamik. Deshalb hängt eine Rundenzeit auf der Tuono davon ab, wie fit der Mensch darauf ist, und nicht von den letzten fünf PS. Es ist auch der Grund, warum sich niemand, der eine davon auf der Rennstrecke hart gefahren ist, hinterher über die Sitzposition beschwert.
